About HeartPort

The Origin of "HeartPort"

The logo of HeartPort came before its name.
  • The logo is inspired by the universal symbol for the psychology discipline (Ψ). It originates from the penultimate letter of the Greek alphabet, psi, which represents the idea of the livelihood of the living creatures. It is also the first letter of the Greek word "psuche" (ψυχή ), meaning the mind or soul, from which the term psyche arose.
  • The heart in the logo represents the "heart-to-heart" connection in psychotherapy, as well as the process of "heartwork." Every client can feel that their sorrows, grief, struggles, fear, disappointment, anger, hurt etc., are being heard and expressed. Our goal is to create a safe, special therapeutic environment so that our clients can experience healing, recovery, transformation and rejuvenation.
  • What does the symbol below the the heart look like? A chair, a cup, a bird, or hands? It carries the meanings of "containing", "safe" and "free."
  • The circle with three colors contain the meaning of integration, flowing, wholeness, hope, and harmony.

The meaning of "HeartPort"

The name of HeartPort refers to a port for heart. When a ship is sailing on high speed on the ocean for too long, it may feel exhausted. Or when it gets lost on the ocean for too long or encounters threatening storms, it may need a safe port where it can rest and recharge. Our soul is just the same as such a restless ship. We will feel exhausted when we act strong for too long. We will accumulate too much emotions unexpressed when we encounter different life difficulties. We will feel lost and make every life step fearful and unbearable. We will forget how blissful a peaceful heart is. HeartPort can serve as a port for the tiring souls to rest as well as a port for them to recharge and move on.
